The bucket list event was something I planned while working for the Office of Residence Life in the First Year Involvement Center. My project for the year was Outreach. The bucket list idea was the brainchild of a coworker from a year or so prior, but something that never really got off the ground.

Unofficial JMU Bucket lists have been floating around for years. Usually varying from person-to-person, and a little more risque, the idea for the Live On Bucket list was to highlight on-campus resources that could serve as valuable opportunities for first year and transfer students.

The event turned into a month-long, social media-powered event during which students earned a bucket list t-shirt by attending 5 of the bucket list events, and sharing selfies or pictures of their participation on social media.
